XnView preview pane position

Post by pdecrocq »

Hello

I have tried searching for this before asking but couldn't find an answer.
On XnView site (http://www.xnview.com/fr/xnview/) there's nice picture of XnView window with the preview pane on the right side.
I can't find how to do this, on my system (XnView 2.12 on Win7 x64) it is at bottom.
Any advice on how to do this ?
Thanks
-Pierre

Is #7 in View » Layout what you're looking for, pdecrocq?

Thank you !
Well that's almost it. I just would like to have Histogram below the preview now.

That would be View » Preview pane » Use vertical layout.

FYI: XnViewMP is even more flexible.

It stands for “Multi Platform”, which means that it runs on more than one operating system (Windows + Linux + Mac OS).

Thanks a lot. I'll read through it and decide whether to test MP & switch.
Is MP written by P Gougelet too ?
Any consequence of this new fork on the future à XnView (e.g. planned end of support or enhancements) ?

Yes, all of this software…
… is the work of a French one-man band known as Pierre-Emmanuel Gougelet
(The list goes on, but I chose not to include those programs which aren't supported any longer; like his raytracer Cloé or XnView for Pocket PC and Smartphone.)

IIRC, Pierre's initial plans were to retire XnView Classic when the full set of features is implemented in MP, but he has since indicated that it won't be EOL/RIP for Classic anytime soon.
