Unwanted menu with right-click when scrolling images

After installing the latest version 1.11.5, an old bug turned up again and I cannot get rid of it.
When I right-click to move to the next picture, it does not work, and a menu turns up on the image instead (screenshot)
This does not happen with left-click (the previous picture). I made a workaround and use the space bar instead, but I am so used to right-clicking that it has become an automatic reflex.
My mouse settings are in a screenshot as well.
I also wanted to attach my ini files but the attachment tool refused both .ini and .txt as invalid file extensions.

None of the suggestions/solutions in the given link works. My mouse settings/choices are not like the ones described in those images and answers. I cannot make those choices.
I would very much apprecciate a short and simple reply, just telling me which way I should configure my mouse settings from the available choices I have. I therefore re-attach the screenshot.
The only way I have found is to set both right and left buttons to do nothing and use the wheel for previous/next file, but I definitely need the wheel for zooming in and out.
What do others do? What is the quickest or handiest way to move between pictures?
This has worked since I first started with XnView in 2008. It still works in classic XnView. How can this be so difficult?
Who wants a menu when they want to move to the next picture, especially since that menu does not have the choice: next picture.
All "improvements" or changes do not make life easier for the user. Sometimes they make life more "combilicating" as my Egyptian friends would say.
