Display of .tif-Images slow

Post by Surfi »

Don't know if this has been metioned before. .tif-Images created with Paint.NET (OpenSource at http://www.getpaint.net/) can not be opened with XnView. Even the shell extension fails to load it.

Hello,

I'm not sure it's related, but I have the same problem with a tif (origin unknown). Here it is :
http://nerbrume.free.fr/images/Plan.tif
(opens fine in windows viewer, not in XnView).

Btw, since I'm here, thanks a lot for XnView, Pierre !

Sure, it's just a small image.

You can load it here:

XnView *really* has problems with the TIF images provided above. What I experienced:

- Surfi's image does not open in XnView (XnView will allocate several 100 MBs of memory and hard disk will swap).
- And nerbrume's TIF appears in preview but does not open.
