[-1.91] Problem with maximized browser window on Vista

Post by Grzesiek »

OS: MS Windows Vista Business
XnView: 1.91
Config: even on new xnview.ini file

Sympthoms:
When browser window is maximized, you can see border of unmaximized window near the edge of the screen (on the right side, just like on screenshot I've attached). It's the same border which is used to resize windows, and when you point a cursor over it, it change its shape to horizontal arrow (just like over normal window border), but is unable to move it. This unnecessary border disappears, when the window is in normal (not maximized) state.

I can't reproduce it, do you use the standard theme for Vista??
Pierre.

I'm using default Aero theme with default glass effect.
Theme is just like Vista looks Out-Of-Box.

Additional info:
- 32 bit version of Vista
- Screen resolution 1280x1024

I have found a workaround for this problem (and same problem described here: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=12238 )

I've tried with different compatibility settings for XnView and I've noticed that the problem disappears, when I set following option in compatibility setting. (However I'm sorry, but I'm using a polish version of Vista and I don't know exact name of options in properties window)

- right click on shortcut to xnview.exe file (or directly on exe file)
- select Properties
- choose Compatibility
- turn on only the last checkbox in Settings (it's like "Screen scaling in higher DPI setting")
- and the problem is gone :-D

ADD: I'm using Vista with standard 96DPI.
