I'm using linux+wine so I'm not sure the following problems occur in native OS:xnview wrote: * Option to use 'checkerboard' for transparency - http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=13645
1. Enable checkerboard option
2. Highlight png with 32 bits & alpha channel (crash).

Re: XnView 1.91.6 Beta
Just installed the beta.
The Google Map display is an appreciated addition.
The Google Map function map presents southern hemisphere latitudes (in my case 43o South) as northern!
Same geo referenced photo displays correctly via other programme.

I've just created a new temporary forum 1.91.6 Beta Testing for discussing the 1.91.6 beta and reporting bugs that have been introduced in 1.91.6 beta.

From what I can see XnView does not pass negative values for "West" and "South" reference to Google Maps.PSHRutPark wrote:...The Google Map function map presents southern hemisphere latitudes (in my case 43o South) as northern! ..

Yes, I confirm this crash (with this png sample :here)xnview wrote:I can't confirm, i have no crash. But after uncheked and checked Options\read_write\read\PNG :
compose image with transparency and
compose image with alpha (32bits)
I do not have this crash again - strange -.
But I can not see the checkerboard background (for gif or png ...)
with the option : use 'checkerboard' for transparency
