Best way to custom sort\filter is to use the address bar next to the mini toolbar and type say "C:\*.jpg" and hit enter... grrr this doesn't work like xplorer2!!!

Sorry, I'm off to kill someone :)

I thought he meant just the JPG's or just the BMP's?

BTW why can't I sort via the address bar in XnView?

Currently not supported, only to enter a path

:) Hi Chris !
…grrr this doesn't work like xplorer2!!!
• Indeed, I assume that the stuff you have in this FM is a Search field, linked to the “Search” function…
- In TC, there is a command-line field, editable paths on the spot and a very elaborate Search,
but not such a field which could confuse the users.
- Making a Search field from the current address bar might need to spend a lot of programming hours, I guess…
• What about the “Custom” filter in the browser tool-bar ?

I will try to explain. I study English, sorry for my bad English :?

You move and order the tumbs. Its a thumbnails order Custom Sort.
Its like Fast Stone. I saw there.

You can move freely the thumbs. Select and Move up, down, left, right in the browser. Its useful when you rename images.

Is it possible to sort pictures manually within folder.
I have large numbers of old photos that have been scanned in and none of the "sort by " choices meet my needs.
Need to nominate my own sequence. Does not appear possible to drag and drop.
Paddy
Me too!

I would like to sort the thumbnails in the browser window manually by dragging them with the mouse to an individual, custom order and batch rename them afterwards. I think this would be a rather simple but very powerful feature. Could you please consider to add this feature in the near future?
