I'm wondering, is there a possibility to correct white by point an eyedropper to a white spot on the image?
Like the functionality which is present in Photoshop.
So far I've found only "Auto levels" functionality (Ctrl-Alt-L).

It would be nice to have this functionality for CR2 format (RAW for Canon), but for JPEG this functionality is also appreciated.

I came to this forum to ask that very question. Or just a "white balance" in general was one I wanted to ask about.

I'm using a scripting program called Able Batch Conversion. I bought it years ago because it was one of the few, if not the only one at the time, that would do "deskewing". It has two different white balances. I use only one of the two.

What I need the white balance for is that I scan a lot of old books and reference materials. These end up having a gray background when converted to gray. So the document has a gray appearance in general. With Able a White Balance typically makes it a white page.

I'm going to make a separate post about whitening pages that will perhaps help you with your use of White Balance. I've got my fingers crossed that I get more responses than you have in the past 7 months.

There is no eyedropper for white balance correction. This has been requested and discussed several times in the past, though.
