Okay Pierre, no problem in restarting XnView. A number of other applications require this procedure as well.
But it is quite vexing that I need to do it, for parts of the UI got already translated, why not the other parts, too? If this is a problem of the underlying programming language (as this is ...

XnView 1.99 No help given
Choosing 'Help' in the Info menu XnView tries to open the wiki page

in the web browser, causing a 'Bad title' error.

XnView 1.99 Changing UI Language
Changing the UI language in the settings does not change the UI entirely to the chosen language. While the menu texts have changed, all other texts (Preview pane, tabs, status bar) remain unchanged unless you restart XnView.

XnView 1.99 Problems with AI vector files
Reading a folder containing 162 AI vector files, XnView shows a wrong file count in the status bar (10 files rather than 162). The reading progress bar is wrong as well, displaying 50% done while all files being read already and having given thumbnails, and continuing 'reading' until 100% done are ...

By 'right' do you mean that I found an issue or do you mean those were the intended actions?

1.98 Refresh bug in Context menu's 'Describe'
Click on any file or folder and choose 'Describe' from its context menu. If you change nothing in the dialog and just click on 'Cancel', the dialog closes and shows the file or folder with an empty name label, although after a manual refresh the original name label appears again.

1.98 Bug in Context menu's 'Delete'
Change the UI language from German to English and restart XnView (so each component should contain the properties of the chosen language now). Then choose any file or folder and choose 'Delete...' from its context menu. The dialog will remain German, as the only one in the context menu.

1.98 Bug in 'Copy pathname'
If you click in the Browser on a file or folder and choose 'Copy pathname' from the context menu, XnView immediately closes. Moreover, XnView copies the pathname of the parent (containing) folder, not of the folder or file marked. I found no hints in the online help if these are the intended actions.

Hi XnTriq,
thanks for the mild reprimand :-). In my defense, I must say I had little time for posting then, so I just copied a report I typed earlier. Moreover, the subject didn't fit entirely into the forum topics 'Bugs' and 'Suggestions,' but at least I numbered the individual items, so anybody ...

Hi Pierre,
unfortunately, I can't find by now my folder tree I watched this issue in. But I assure you that my observation was correct. By the way, I had activated the new sorting algorithm which came with Windows XP which, as I recall, is the default behavior of Windows XP. And my sort order in ...

Re: 1.98 Misinterpreted buttons and checkboxes of dialogs
(1)+(2) I noted this issue many times, and will make a snapshot next time. Unfortunately, I didn't make one at the time it occured, and they'r occasional issues. As I observed even today, XnView sometimes displays a prompting message when I click on anything; today it was the Filter menu which ...

Hi Pierre,
no, I don't have any special recycle bin settings nor any tools managing it for special purposes. At the first time I thought it was my fault of having made a wrong click or so, but at the second time I was shocked of having lost two important files. So you do can imagine I wasn't keen ...
