Right, but then from Windows Explorer (or better Directory Opus) context menu.

Is there a way to select two thumbnails and compare them side by side?
Likely it is totally impossible, but nonetheless - just asking...
I'd like to select two thumbnails
then r-click XnViewMP compare or something
and they show up side by side in 1 window so I can compare them more accurately.
As said, likely impossible...
Thanks !

Oops!
Sorry, I overlooked those options.

Actually I was looking in settings all the time, but didn't pay attention to those boxes above.
Ahum ...deep sigh...
Thanks again.

Re: Rotate - resize canvas - do not crop
Like this, see attachment
With XnView the canvas does not resize, some other tool the canvas resizes along and image is not 'cropped'.
As said, maybe it is some setting within XnView MP I don't know.

Rotate - resize canvas - do not crop [Solved]
XnView has wonderful rotate feature!
One minor drawback - maybe there a solution for it?
When rotating it happens that parts are lost, the size of the canvas does not change so the full photo remains in place.
I am sure there is a solution, but I vainly searched for a solution.
Any advice?
Thanks.

Re: Google GPS location in properties
Ah, I was not aware of your thread.
Hopefully, one day, there will be something like 'Show GPS in digital format'
('Google ready', so to say)
Thanks.
(p.s. not sure if at all it is technically feasible though.)

Re: Google GPS location in properties
Thanks for the reply.
Not sure whether it is possible for XnView to convert those GPS details.
Most 'converting'websites require details be entered manually, i.e. no copy-paste.
Found
https://www.earthpoint.us/Convert.aspx
that allows pasting.

Google GPS location in properties
It would be nice if the "Google GPS location" would show up in properties.
I get things like: Latitude 51° 51' 17.22"
or: GPS Latitude : 51 deg 51' 17.22" N
In "Properties"> Tab GPS the location is shown, but I can't clipboard the Google GPS location from there.

How am I to proceed to view Google Photos within XnViewMP?
I am using OneDrive (Office 365 subscription).
Photos / screenshots from my smartphone end up in Google Photos.
I don't like the Google Photos manager.
Is there a way to handle the Google Photos using XnViewMP?
IF... IF possible, what should I do?
What steps to take to make it work?
Thanks!

How to manually add drives to be excluded?
Under Settings > Catalog > Tab: Catalog
I see drives and folders showing up that I do -not- want. I only what specific folders.
under tab: Excluded/included I can not 'manually' add a drive letter, like: X:\
I believe the drive should be 'detected', i.e. I should browse/select the drive.

Re: Automatic Orientation of images
Super!
I did all the rotation stuff yesterday. Small thumbnails, using 8 rows of 14 thumbnails per screen it went relatively fast.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Automatic Orientation of images
Thanks for the above.
Yesterday only, I found out it involves old photos taken with my (also very) old Nikon. All later photos, Canon, Sony and even my Samsung smartphone, the orientation is okay. It seems to have something to do with the internal software of the old Nikon.

Re: Orientation
Ah! Overlooked.. sorry. Ahum.
It is tagged.
I can select the images and then use rotate in toolbar, but I wonder why it is not rotated automatically.
