A dialog box similar to batch convert only for cropping??
No. Multiple virtually-identical dialogs just confuse the user.
Instead, embed the feature in the existing batch convert dialog crop action (still disabled as of v0.64) as presented by m.Th in this thread.
However, sometimes it is good to ...

This ties in with my idea for an "automatic" versioning engine.

Could you please, tell me which features are needed??
IMO it is not necessary to overly emphasize designing the UI for small (aka phone-) sized devices. Think tablets! Think tablets! An "XnView" for Android would fill a huge gap in the marketplace just by including basic image tasks combined with ...

Re: Suggestion: Pocket XnView (PXn) - for Android, iPhone OS
For tablets, at least a tree + thumb panel + preview. For me that is the most efficient way of managing my images.
For now I use QuickPic because it is fast and convenient for quickly viewing images, but its UI for file management is hopeless. So, for managing photos I currently have X-Plore which ...

Well, that solved the problem, though in a counter-intuitive fashion, IMO.xnview wrote:I see that you have *.*, please try by removing it

Re: Description of the database and search functionality
0.64 searching "use database" fails with every example I have tried.
By "fail" I mean nothing happens: the "Searching" popup never populates.
Disabling "use database" gives results instantly.

Maybe an image "basket" instead of multi-select?

Re: Request: Drag/drop to rearrange Compare thumbstrip
I meant a specific "make sequence" function.
If the renaming tool were available in the thumbstrip AND multiple select was also available, then that would suffice.

Now that's embarrassing. I'm so used to the context menu...

Edit: but rename is still missing...

Request: File operations in Compare
Please implement file rename, file move, and file copy in Compare tabs. I frequently use Compare very seriously, not just for a casual glance to see which image is preferred... and those functions would be usefully integrated with the Compare workflow.
Certainly would save many steps....

Request: Drag/drop to rearrange Compare thumbstrip
Please consider implementing drag/drop to rearrange thumbs in the Compare tab thumbstrip.
Many times the purpose of a comparison activity is to identify a sequence of images. It would be useful to build the sequence by dragging in the thumb strip while comparing images.
