rename: need a pulldownmenu with the last renamed filenames

hi all,

in the rename window (reproduce: F2 in fullscreen mode):

a pulldown-menu with the last renamed files would be help-/useful.

please add such a thing ;-) so the user can choose filenames from older renaming sessions.

"close all" menu-item greyed out?

hi,

shouldnt the "close all" menu-item greyed out, if in browser mode *and* no pictures shown on the tabs, only the browsing window?

if i choose ->menu->file->close all in broeser mode, nothing happens.

this could be irritating.

Re: folderlist doesnt update

So 30 will be good?

no :-) that was only an example. if you don't want to cache bilions of "old" directories, let the user choose.

in the options:
remember the last <NNN> directories.

About the 'recent lists': it would be nice to be able to select the max # of items (+unlimited) AND to ...

Re: move or copy file information/name missing

Wow, we have more and more inventive screen designers, here. And in ASCII art.
thats, because i cannot add pictures to this forum :-) so i must be creative in ascii-art :-) otherwise i would use photoshop.

The simple approach "1 file name or number of files" is still under discussion.

Re: move or copy file information/name missing

That's true, there's no filename displayed. But you can select and move/copy many files at a time, so if you want to display filenames, you need a larger list which will make the dialog large.

the dialog is way too small, anyway. and its not resizeable, like any "good" window should be ;->

move or copy file information/name missing

hi,
a small issue.

when copy/move a picture to another folder via ALT+M/ALT+C
the filename (complete filename means: not only filename, but filename.ext) should/could be shown.

now, the user doesnt know, what filename he/she is moving/copying

Re: folderlist doesnt update

another appropriate issue:

if i choose an item of the last-folders-list, i would suppose, the folder-list would update to that new location.

Ok, 2 problems...

And the request from me, too. :-)

Please, could you add at least more than 10+- items as it counts now?

I often have to move hundreds ...

cache issues

hi,
i know, there are some threads about caching and other cache optimizing issues.
maybe, if this report isnt a double-entry, you could merge this post with them, because 1)+2) are still not workin in 1.80.3.

1)
options->browser->cache
click on "cached directories" or "images" or "size" to sort ...
