A new format to read: .wb1

Post by Old-Navy »

Is there a possibility that .wb1 could be added so they can be converted to a usable format? My HDD crashed and took all my photos with it. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I had them saved to Webshots, but I can't download them to a usable format for my graphics programs. I can only use their on line order form for copies of these pictures. I have been unable to locate any program that can convert these files.

Listed in supported formats

Welcome to forum,
The format is listed as readable in Menu... Info>Supported formats, after changing setting:
Options... General>[Operations]>[x]Display all image file types
Perhaps other users will have some experiences to share about it.

Welcome aboard, Old-Navy :-)

I'm sorry to hear about your “capsized” hard drive. But you're lucky: XnView already supports the Webshots formats (WB1, WBC, WBP & WBZ) and allows you to batch-convert them.

Just to make sure I downloaded their Webshots Desktop software (setup-6033.exe), extracted the WB1s from it and coverted them to JPEGs with the current version of XnView — everything's been smooth sailing. ;-)

My thanks to everyone. :D Unfortunately I have to purchase an upgrade to Webshots in order to download any of my photos. :( I have to get my disability pay before I can do this though. Ahh well, such is life.
