Windows11 (26H2), display resolution 3840x2160, dpi scale 150%
Viewer/Browser(Preview)
to reproduce
0. have 32bit and ≥8bit images with transparency in folder 1. open 32bit image in Viewer (eg 10_rgb_alpha.png)
2. uncheck 'Use alpha channel'
3. navigate to ≥8bit image
transparent index is transparent - OK
4. zoom-in
transparent index will be visible
5. uncheck/check 'Use transparent index' command
nothing happens, transparent index remains visible
Suggestion
- maybe combine 'Use alpha channel' and 'Use transparent index' into single 'Use transparency' command
as they do the same thing, the only difference is image color depth and there is always only one image per viewport
